Donations... SECARE is a federally licensed 501(c)(3) shelter. The shelter operates solely on donations and adoption fees. We receive no government funding. The shelter operates with a handful of volunteers who donate their time, their homes, and sometimes their own money in our continuing efforts to afford these animals a chance at a normal life. All donations are tax deductible. The shelter accepts items--either for shelter use, or for re-sale in which the proceeds will go to the shelter. If you decide to donate an item to the shelter, be prepared to give an estimated value for the item. Current needs are: *Crates of all sizes, especially medium and large sizes. *Leashes, collars and harnesses. *Blankets and bedding. *Outside dog houses. *A transport vehicle--The shelter is currently using volunteer vehicles for transport to vets or adoption fairs. *Food--dry and canned *Food and water dishes, and water buckets.
