The Shelter number is 719-267-4858

Shelter e-mail

Address for the shelter:  15215 County Road E.25
                                        Ordway, Colorado 81063

The Shelter is located about:
50 miles east of Pueblo
90 miles south and east of Colorado Springs
150 miles from Denver

To come south on I25:
Go to Exit 100A (Highway 50 East).
Go about 15 miles to the Highway 96 turnoff (it's a left turn)
It's about 40 miles on Highway 96--through the towns of Boone and Olney Springs and past a small town called Crowley.
A couple of miles past Crowley is Lane 16.  Turn south (right) and go about a mile to Road E.25 and turn right onto E.25 (it only turns right).  Look for the fourth house on the right.  There is a large blue metal barn and the house is light colored with blue trim.  We are working on a lit sign up front, so hopefully that will be visible very soon.

To come out east on I70:
Go to Exit 359 (first Limon exit).  Go right (south) off the exit ramp.
At the stoplight, turn left (east) and go to the first road turning right (south).  This will be Highway 71 south.
It's about 75 miles south on Highway 71 and is very isolated.  You will go through one small town called Punkin Center about halfway down.
Once you get to Ordway, you'll go past the stop sign, over the railroad tracks and turn right at the next intersection which will be for Highway 96 West.
Go about 3 miles on Highway 96 West to Lane 16.  Turn left (south) and go about a mile to Road E.25.  Turn right (west) onto E.25 and the shelter is located at the fourth house on the right.  There will be a large blue metal barn and the house is light colored with trim.  Again, hopefully we'll have our sign up soon.
