The Shelter is located about:
50 miles east of Pueblo
90 miles south and east of Colorado Springs
150 miles from Denver

To come south on I25:
Go to Exit 100A (Highway 50 East).
Go about 15 miles to the Highway 96 turnoff (it's a left turn)
It's about 40 miles on Highway 96--through the towns of Boone and Olney Springs and past a small town called Crowley.
You will come by Ordway as you come to Highway 71. Turn left (going north) on 71 about two (2) miles to Road J. Turn right (east).
About a mile down a dirt road is a blue house with white roof on the left (north) side of the road. It is the only house on the left side.

To come out east on I70:
Go to Exit 357 (first Limon exit). Go right (south) off the exit ramp.
At the stoplight, turn left (east) and go to the first road turning right (south). This will be Highway 71 south.
It's about 75 miles south on Highway 71 and is very isolated. You will go through one small town called Punkin Center about halfway down.
Just before reaching Ordway, you will see the cemetary on the right (west side of the highway) and just beyond that is a water tower and small reservoir on the right side. Road J is the next road. It is between mile markers 28 and 29 on Highway 71.
Turn left (east) on Road J and go about a mile on a dirt road to the house on the left (north) side of the road. It is blue with a white roof. It's the only house on the left.
